Who makes the M&P mags that are sold by S&W?

I'd still like to know who makes the 45acp magazines. It seems nobody can answer that one.

I suspect they come from the same place as the rest of them (MecGar) Can't think why they would do otherwise. BTW, .45c mags are available at Magazine- M&P .45 ACP Compact at Quantico Tactical

S&W manufactures the magazines.

Mec Gar makes the bodies. S&W imports the bodies for all the pistols except the M&P-45 from Mec Gar, sources the other components domestically and assembles them on-site in their factory.

Other than the compact magazines, we have no problem getting magazines from S&W for resell.

I can give you the answer why you can't find M&P magazines on Mec-Gar web page if they are making the entire magazine or just a part for the magazines.

The manufacture, in this case S&W, has to pay for everything that is involved to make the magazine. This includes the cost for everything that is involved in the production, so if they need a new machine then it's coming out of S&W pockets. So therefore Mec-Gar and S&W signs a deal that Mec-Gar won't sell magazines for 5-10 years depending on the costs to set up production for that pistol.

Mec-Gar does NOT make the M&P-45 bodies. Those are mode domestically (in the United States), but I do not know by who.

Sorry for the incomplete answer earlier. As stated, Mec-Gar makes the other M&P magazine bodies.
