The quality of the contributions and the rigorous moderation, not to mention the appeal of the titular product, of this forum has made the ubiquitous social medium secondary to me.

As a creature of habit, I used to check email, the social media website, then other firearm related sites. Now I find my routine becoming email, this forum, then other places.

Are there any others for whom this forum has supplanted other places for screen time? Of course, I realize there are many who eschew social media assiduously. Spending many years on a college campus led me to be an early adopter in order to keep in contact with students.

This is the first place I go to , then to Guns International , followed by Fl Gun Trader . There's a couple others I visit , but not everyday . If I am not here , something bad came up . Can't talk about social media , never have and never will .

I'm pretty much of a regular here every day. I closed and deleted Facebook years ago when somebody hacked my account and tried to use it to spread a virus. Somebody must have said some unkind things about me but bless him, my cousin-in-law came to my defense and said there was no way I would be fooling around on Facebook when I was at work. I still have LinkedIn but only look at it when I get a prompt.

Yup. This site, email, and about 3 other gun sites does it for me. That's all I have time for anyway.
I actually hit Facebook once a week - on my tablet when I'm waiting for Sunday morning services to start.

Like Rustyt1953 and CajunBass, I save the best for last. After I've read the world and local news (I don't watch any broadcast news--I read it so I can select what's important) I do check Farcebook--I know how I spelled it--because it's my principal and sometimes only way of staying in touch with some people. Then I come here, at least twice a day, the last time late in the evening. It helps me get over the news and Farcebook.

You can see from my stats...........

You can see from my stats that I spend more time here than any site. I spend a lot of time answering emails or originating my own. I usually check some of the news.

I spend a fair amount of time on Youtube, often when eating or occupied some gun or history vid. I do indulge in a little worthless trash for easy watching.

I spend about .01 per cent of my time on Facebook, only if there is something special I was asked to look at.

Lately I've spent more time on Quora, which was a goo site but is now attracting way too many trolls.

I Google a LOT because my wife and I are curious. Whenever we watch old TV I have a computer handy to look up movies, actors, etc. Watching old shows on Metv is perfect for this.

I Google guns and shooting a lot. I can't seem to get enough of old, military, foreign gun designs and cartridges.

Dude! Stop! You're making me feel like a dumb***
(But, yes, I do think this is a great forum, mainly because it is moderated with an iron fist...)

I check a few news sites, my emails, some sports sites and then settle in here.

PS: You talks good.:)

I was contaminated by pronouncing at Spelling Bee competitions for many years.

My sesquipedalian ( ˌseskwəpəˈdālyən: characterized by long words; long-winded.) tendencies get the better of me when trying to say a lot in a few words. That works only if the same vocabulary is shared, otherwise one simply sounds pedantic (pəˈdan(t)ik: excessively concerned with minor details and rules or with displaying academic learning.)

It all started with trying to think of a clever way to say FaceBook without saying FaceBook.
