Who says deer aren't smart?

You can't tell me that wild critters aren't smart. I am convinced that Antelope can read the hunting orders.
Season opens on one side of a road that divides the ranch for a week and then moves to the other side a week later. I've seen them critters crossing the road at sun down on the last day.:D

Who says deers aren't smart? The one hanging off the front of my brother's Ford sedan. Didn't even have to shoot it.

On a couple of occasions here in NH, I've experienced deer swimming pretty much right by the trout boat, while slowly and quietly trolling. A moose on another occasion.
I just got an email today which had several photos of 4 deer approaching a charter boat, I mean waaaay out, and then the fishermen promptly helped all 4 exhausted deer aboard the boat. Photos show the deer first approaching the boat, then resting on the boat, and they finally got them back to land and all apparently were fine.

They used to do that all the time back in NC when I was a kid. One county would be into deer season and the one beside it, across the river hadn't started yet. As soon as the shooting started you'd see deer swimming across the river.
