Who to round & bob?

I'm looking for recommendations for a quality 'smith that would cut the barrel,re do the front sight & round off the grip frame of a 681.

A good friend found a very cosmetically challenged 681 (I'm being kind, this thing is trashed) and he asked me about taking it down to 3" & round-butt job on the frame. He wants to top it off with a nice satin finish.

I've seen firearms done by Karl Sokol but have no personal experience. Any other suggestions?

Man, you are not getting much help here! Most any halfway decent gunsmith can round the butt and bob the hammer, but shortening the barrel, recrowning it and replacing the sight takes a bit more. Karl Sokol does great work, as do several others. Rick Devoid would be good, or you might check with Mark Morganti at Gemini Custom. Hamilton Bowen's work is superb, as well, as is Jim Stroh's.
