Who would you rather have as backup?

Ah the bobsy twins from homicide. Great fan of James Lee Burke. They made In the Confederate Mist right near where I live. Think I got the title right. Wish they would do more of his books on film. Frank
 
Personally, I would like to have Hickock45 as a backup. Perhaps an odd choice but having watched many of his videos I know that he's someone I could get along well with. In addition his skills are in the "reachable" zone for me so he would act as a catalyst for me to improve my skill set. That would not be the case for Bill Jordan or Chuck Norris, with either of those two I would be nothing more than a bumbling side kick with an ability to fix anything mechanical. As for Jim Cirillo, way way way too "New York" for me, I wouldn't be able to get through a lunch with him.

I read him in a few different gun rags of the era and also read his book that is why I put a smiley:D at the end of my sentence!

Of the two listed I agree with your choice!
 
Colonel Askins was mean

In his book they capture a big German motor pool
Askins catches a Nazi Sergent raising the hoods and disabling the vehicles so the allies could not use them.

Colonel Askins pulls out his 1911 and shoots him in the kidney so he'll scream and cry for a long time, to convince the other German POW's not to mess around.

I have a friend that is an ex marine and currently works for a sheriff's department in another parish. If I can shoot a 1" group with a gun, I can hand to him and watch him shoot a .5" group with the same gun.

I would trust him as a backup more than any other person that I know or know about.

Hands down....the Israeli Mossad and/or military.
A few years after 9-11 I had the luck to be invited to hear several speak at a two day symposium in Texas about terrorism. I have NEVER been to a better conference in my life and have been to many in my 28 years of law enforcement)! I have nothing but respect for those people and would be honored to have one watch my back.....and no I am not Jewish, I am Southern Baptist.
 
I'd take Jim Cirillo. He's a stone cold killer tested in many real gunfights. Plus, he's not a TV trick shot artist and never killed a brother officer being stupid with his gun!!
