From time to time in the summer, I'll stick a J frame in the front pocket of my cargo shorts.

Interestingly, this thread was about carrying a revolver, but for the most part it's turned into a J-frame thread. Maybe I missed something. I carry a 638 sometimes, I carry a 60-15 frequently, but if I could only have one carry revolver, I'd pick my 2.5 " 66-2 or my 3" 65-3 (pictured).

Welp was a religion till I got flanked with a bs tactical manuver order by someone that has now disarmed me for a year. Don't worry it doesn't stop parts or the new products one bit. I'm creative to say the least with an iq. So next what you carrying prolly have a new compound bow in it. Gotta love dukes of hazard flashbacks from when iz a kid

My first J frame. Have carried it some and it's not bad at all in the pocket. Been practicing putting my thumb over the hammer when I draw. Seems to work rather well. I did do a cylinder full of 357mag... I may not do that again. Shoots great with 38 +P's.
I said my first J frame... I handled a 649 the other day... shouldn't have done that.

Yeah, unless you just absolutely can't stand the look (I've always liked it, myself - first J frame was a M49) a humpback is just about the perfect form. A small, concealable but easily drawable gun if you think you might EVER want to have a light trigger pull for taking a carefully aimed shot.

For me, there's something about the look of the humpback bodyguard's that appeals to me. Makes me want to get a '49 mercury flathead and wear a fedora.

My #1 EDC is my 642-1.
This one is by far my favorite for a couple of reasons.
#1 - It very light weight.
#2 - This was my brother's back up for a lot of years when he was in LE.



Sometimes I carry my 640-1 in a shoulder holster. It kind of depends on my attire.
I carried this on on my hip for years until my brother gave me his 642-1.



And sometimes I carry my M&P .45.

I probably carry my 642-1 90% of the time, maybe even more.

i had non dominant hand surgery last week. I have been carrying a 337. Wish S&W would re-introduce the Centennial in .32 H&R Magnum without a lock.

As I noted in an earlier post, S&W did make a run of 432s a few years ago, but they were not a catalog item and disappeared from view in very short order. I bought one from Bud's after getting a notice that they were available - had my 632 already and got the 432 thinking it would be a good one for my wife to use when/if she ever completes her concealed carry training.

It had an issue for which I sent it back to S&W within a few months of getting it. They declared it unrepairable, and had no 32 caliber anythings to offer as a replacement. I said I'd wait indefinitely if they were going to make another run of 32s at some point, but they said I had to pick something from the current catalog now.

I have always assumed making a 32 just involved drilling different size holes than for a 22 or 38. But I'm not sure if there are any other 6-shot J frames in production now, so they would also have to set up for the 6 nubs on the extractor star, and 6 flutes on the chamber. Still, there seems to be at least a bit of a market for 32 revolvers, so it's surprising that there's no interest from S&W.
