I Just looked through ten pages of Snubbies..
WOW!!
I might need therapy after looking at all those Great Smiths Colt & Rugers..
There's absolutely no doubt that a handy little J Frame will get carried when a much bigger & heavier weapon will be left at home..
I never feel outguned when I'm carrying my Airweight 642..
Loaded with the Standard Velocity 125gr Federal Nyclads..

Gary, the guy that received the 942 was Wiley Clapp, the gunwriter, according to the S & W Standard Catalogs. I'd be curious to see it and wonder if he still has it. I'll bet it's a handfull; I had a 940 once and it kicked like a government mule to me. I prefered .357's out of a 640-1 to that and sold it. Didn't like the extraction issues either. But, like you, I love snubbies!

I purchased my first Snubbie this weekend at a local gun show. It's the as yours, jpz. I'm psyched and think it is just beautiful...love this little gun. Can't wait to take it to the range and get a feel for my new revolver.

Did you polish those three model 60s yourself? They look as shiny as that model 36! What did you use? Flitz?

Yep, I love the little J frames. The older 60's generally look a bit dull by now, so I prefer to brighten them up by hand with a little Flitz or Simichrome.
