I'm looking to stock up on some .223 ammo, 1000 to 2000 rounds. Who's got the best prices, including shipping?
The best price is your reloading bench with OFMB LC brass from Monmouth Brass, H335 or H322 from Bullets.com, Primers from Wideners and 55 grain bulk Hornady Spire Points from Widners....actually.... if you can roll your own.....lol
Cheap? Oh yea! You don't need a chrome receiver. While it is steel it is also very soft it's not like the cases are stainless or billet or bar stock. Technically it's harder than brass but it's still very very soft.I'm not sure why anyone would shoot 'steel cased' anything in a conventional rifle (without a hard chrome receiver). Has to be hard on it plus it's not reloadable. Too me, 'steel cased' rounds are synonomus with cheap.
For pistol ammo, I always check TargetsportsUSA. Free s/h if you buy by the case, and they also run sales on Federal ammo often. I've gotten Blazer Brass 9mm 124 gr ammo for $200 shipped.
.
True, but there are times when they are running a good price, and it's worthwhile to get a case.Their shipping isn't free it's just factored into the price

Midway is selling 420-count cans of IMI M193 ball for $184.99 before shipping with a two can limit.
At 44 cents per round, it's certainly not the cheapest, but it's worlds better than anything you'll get from Wolf.
