Why buy a Glock 19X when you can buy a Sig P226 SAO Legion for a few bucks more?

Because I have smaller hands and the glock is too thick and then the stock trigger is curved forcing the shooter to have an improper grip. The MP 2.0 with curved trigger allowe shorter reach.

This is the reason you shouldn't buy a Glock. Period. Regardless of any comparison to anything else.

Your linked articles have to do with Sig strikers but I'm sure that Glock has been sued many times also. Because Glock was the first popular striker on the market Glock Leg became the accepted description of AD's while holstering a striker. Never heard the term Sig Leg until I read your post.

I don't own any strikers because of the AD's associated with them. If you like Glocks, or any other strikers, that's your business.

Well, I cant believe I pulled the trigger but just just saw online a Glock 19x for $568 to my door so jumped on it. I hope I do not regret this but also went to overwatch precision and for $178 bought the complete TAC trigger and connector and safety plunger.

Read a lot of issues with this gun from won't feed ammo, sights drifting after so many rounds, to poor finish quality, etc..

The 19X is an excellent pistol. Still puzzled as to why you purchased one after a thread saying it doesn't fit your hand and is otherwise subpar.

I can still shoot it well but if i was going to go by exact fit the only gun I could shoot would be the sig p938

My point was that a negligent discharge can occur with any pistol at any time, and it's not brand specific . . .

The only reason the 19x is so appealing is the FDE color and the 19 round mags. From the reviews it recoils less than the G19 and G17. With the Sig P226 SAO and Sig P320 X5 legion I can shoot rapid fire very accurately but the G19 regular one has always lacked feel, kind of like a car using wooden brakes.

I actually personally know someone with Glock Leg. Don't know anyone with Smith Leg or Sig Leg either. Just sayin'...:D
If you shoot yourself with a firearm in good working order...that's on you. If a 12 or 13lb trigger prevents you from shooting yourself...that's a false sense of security.

No they aren't, Glocks aren't anymore reliable than any other decent quality semi. There in lay Glocks secret to success, their PR department. Continually convincing people their plastic is somehow better or more reliable than others...
I would disagree. Glocks handle owner neglect better than any other firearm I've ever seen...and if there's something wrong with one a majority of the time someone has tinkered with it and screwed it up.

The striker issues were actually due to an ammunition problem for a time...lead free primers with soft cups. They redesigned the strikers and then the ammo manufacturers fixed the primers.

The only knock I have against Glock is that they're not tolerant of a loose hold at all. If your wrists are limp, Glocks are not for you.

I also take issue with their "perfect" grip. It's why my only aftermarket Glock part is the frame.

A VP9 was actually my easiest to shoot handgun overall, and has what I feel is the best out of the box striker trigger. It was, however, bulky to carry concealed and I was never really all that into it. It bored me, and the internal mousetrap mechanisms for everything just irked me in their needless complexity.

No doubt. But they still put safeties on guns for those that "it's on them" that are out there.

My friend wasn't actually holstering his, hadn't bought one yet, only had gun a couple of days. Gun was laying in floor of car, he reached down to pick it up and still doesn't know how the trigger was pulled.

Disagree==Between the wife and I, we have almost a dozen Glocks=from G43 to G20, EDC to woods guns. Only FTF were when using fast, light ammo in G43 (recycled slide TOO fast!). Massood told me to go 147 HP and we never looked back!

Only mods were slide "ears" for my arthritic hands, "lite pipe" front sights, finger extensions on slides, and lasers on nightstand guns.

Of course, to come to the conclusion that Glocks are more reliable than other quality pistols, you would now have to list all the "other" pistols that failed you and your wife. ;)

Amazing how many Glock fanboys have infiltrated the S&W forum. :)

Amazing how many negative comments come from those who have never owned or fired a Glock but jump on the hate just because.

I have about 30 guns from multiple brands, two of which are Glocks.

(1) Glock 17 Gen 4 that is now totally custom. Why? Because I wanted to.

(2) Glock 43X. Last year I wanted the Glock 43X for EDC but my LGS talked me into a Sig P365.

I hated it and sold it in less than a week and bought the Glock. It works for me and that is all I care about. That said, I don't trash Sig because I didn't like it. That would be silly.

It also doesn't make me a Glock "fanboy".

Buy what YOU like and if you are fortunate that likely will work out to be multiple brands over time.

Unless of course you are a Smith fanboy? :)

Only 30? Amateur...

I do own 1 Glock, hate it, but will keep it in the safe. I am indeed a Smith Fanboy and proud to say so.:D

18 S&Ws, 7 TCs so if you count TC as S&W, that is 25. :)

Great.

Have you considered joining the S&WCA and/or the S&WHF?

No safety fixes poor handling. For those striker fired guns that cannot fire unless the trigger is fully pulled to the rear, a manual safety is just a needless mechanical complication.

Gun on the floor of a car doesn't sound like a very secure or responsible place for it to be.

believe it or not the color is why I bought the glock. If it was like the normal black would have passed on it. The Walther PPQ, P226 legion, x5 legion, I prefer those over any glock but the flat dark earth is what sealed the deal. I guess that makes me very shallow...lol
