Do we know the victim was a woman? I thought it was a man and wondered why he didn't attack the perp when he was preoccupied with jam. Also, clearly he wanted to kill the victim. Is that attempted murder in the laws eyes ?

Appears to be an elderly man with a pink shirt.
Was it his house or did he run to a neighbor's house?

Because crooks don't make appointments.

"But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. For this reason you also must be ready" Jesus

Watch closely.
Something is fishy.
I don't know if that's a firearm that kid has.

it's a glock. he kept trying to rack the slide but there was no ammo in it, the homeowner(the guy he was chasing) from whom he took it, didn't put any inside. the only reason that old guy is still alive.

Ok...I see now. It looks like a rubber glove is stuck in the gun.

Must have been after the lovely pink shirt! He was obviously so distracted by it that he couldn't operate his gun. Glad that it ended well for the intended victum.

Why do I always carry? For the same reason I keep a fire extinguisher in my vehicle as well as my home. It is better to have it and not need it than to find yourself needing it and not having it.

Here is an update on the story that explains why the gun didn't fire.

Glad he got the chance to learn from his mistakes, and it will probably be something his neighbors and acquaintances will learn from also.

"If violent crime is to be curbed, it is only the intended victim who can do it. The felon does not fear the police, and he fears neither judge nor jury. Therefore what he must be taught to fear is his victim."......Jeff Cooper
We live in dangerous times and the quote from Col. Cooper has never been more appropriate than now.
