Its going to be a balmy 50 degrees tomorrow and my day is as written. 1) Drive 3 hours west to move deer stands/ Scout our land. 2) Make sure my dad, whos coming off of 2 major back surgeries in February makes it home and doesnt get stuck in a ravine. 3) Rain down unholy lead rain on the Squirrel population of Praire Du Chien Wisconsin. Small game hunting with dad in early fall, Memories I'll always keep with me.

I hear ya, about 50 here today too, nice coloring on the trees. I am taking the wife and daughters downtown today they have 'Party on the Pavement on 6th and Main in Racine lots of animal rescue places free rides for the kids roasted corn and brats.

Tomorrow we will go out to Bong Rec area and look at the wild life. Saw a bunch of red foxes by work yesterday.

I was raised around berlin wisconsin. Born in 41 and left around 1964. While I live in utah, I sure miss some things back there. I done 6 months with the fishery division in 1962. Was raised hunting and fishing. Dont miss the mosquitos.

Poynette, huh? I was stopped by one of Dane County's finest recently and when my DL was presented the response was "Lodi, huh? I like people who live in Lodi !" When I asked why, the reply was "Because I live in Poynette !"

Anyway, I was raised in NE Iowa (the hilliest and greenest part of the entire state). After getting married and living in Denver, CO for 4 years and seeing nothing but rocks and pine trees (and Aspens) couldn't get back to the Midwest quick enough. Been in Wisconsin since 1971 and I love it here (except for the cold winters)

You bet, E Z! I can hardly wait to start cleaning up all that
Global Warming again. I see that deer are starting their rut
even now. Must be the colors affect them a little different from
the way we are. TACC1

25 degrees this morning up here in NW Wisconsin, enough to make the grass crackle under your feet. The colors are on the down side and leaves raining down like crazy. Local bear hunter got a 717 lb black bear the other day! The best deer hunting is yet to come - it looks like fall and it smells like fall...I wish we had 12 months of this!
