Will Rogers

My great uncle was Will Rogers’ advance man on a trip across the country.

Was always a day or two ahead of the show and made sure everything was set up right.

If anyone has the opportunity, a visit to the Will Rogers museum in Claremore, Ok is worth the money. While in town visit the Davis gun museum if you have an extra few hours. Both very educational.

Those people were not really “men” by Will’s definition. He was not talking about “men” in the generic, but about being a “man.” Sort of along the lines of any healthy man can father a child, but it takes a real man to be a daddy.

"I never met a man I didn't like."

What???!!! That was Will Rogers? And all these years I thought it was Elizabeth Taylor who said that.

That's either a load of horse manure, or he didn't meet many men.

I wonder, would he have liked Charles Manson, Benito Muoosoeeel-however-you-spell-it, Chairman Mao, Kim Jung Un, etc., etc.,etc...
It all depends on what your definition of a man is.

I always figured that ol' Will wasn't talking about the adult male in general.
