Looks nice but at ~$37.50 for 20, the price is too high for me.

That price is right in line with what they charge for their other stuff.

Brass casing......oh please.
Nickel cases with Remington or Speer HPs
would have been better.

And what make's their ammo any better than the originals? Barns, Speer and Hornady all make very good factory ammo.

Good to know about the .38 offering, since Speer can't seem to make enough of the 135 gr +P to make any of it available to the public.

Any indication that they use flash-suppressed powders???

Why do you prefer nickel cases? Except for being prettier, I don't see any advantages.
I surely do. They don't corrode or even tarnish. Granted, most of us don't subject our ammo to as much as our forebears used to, and we generally use up our carry ammo in practice. But nickel-case ammo is unquestionably more durable than brass under bad conditions, and I would certainly rather have it. CCI even nickel-plates the cases of its rimfire Stinger ammo.

Nickel is also quite a bit slicker than brass. It can help with ejection in wheelies, and extraction in autos.

Since they are only combining "off the shelf" components I don't see that they are offering anything that a reloader could not duplicate or exceed at much lower cost.
OTOH: This is a great way to justify the cost of my reloading equipment!

I use the nickel cases to distinguish "special purpose" loads. Light pure-lead wadcutters; gorilla-stomping .38-44 loads; and etcetera. If it's a nickel case, I look at it not twice, but three times.

Aren't they using Hornady XTP's in their loadings for these?

If they are loaded to the same levels and with the same powders that all other makes are made, why should I pay more for their branding?

I think it is more of an idea to make a bit more cash for their bottom line. I think it's a great idea for them- I'd have done it long ago if I'd a been them. However, I'd never buy any of it as the same exact load can be bought for less from the OEM without the fancy headstamp for much, much less.
