Winchester V-Max .22 WMR ok in 651-1?

I had some of this old ammo around. It's the V-max 30 gr. It pushes at 2300 fps. Should the J frame 651-1 be able to handle the higher pressure WMR? thx...c good

I don't think that is any higher pressure than any other .22 Mag. that velocity is from a rifle barrel, probably 24''...........

You will be getting higher velocity because you're shooting a lighter 30 grain bullet at the same pressure as the typical 40 grain bullet. All Winchester ammo is made to SAAMI pressure specifications so you're good to shoot it in your M651.

You'll be lucky if you only drop 500 fps from the advertised velocity when fired from a 4" barreled revolver instead of a rifle as ddixie884 has said.
