Lots of Keltecs being sold, and though I don't have one, know many leo's carrying off-duty.

That's not much of an endorsement in my book. (Not trying to give L13 a hard time about his observation.)

Many officers I know don't want to carry anything heavy off duty, don't want to spend any more than they are absolutely forced to, and several don't even carry off duty. I've even been to lunch with a couple that don't even carry when in plain clothes while on duty, it's in the trunk somewhere.

Get the Kel Tek... I had the PF-11 had a extractor break brought it to Kel Tek they told me to go to lunch and come back, When I did they said that I had a few other parts that were wearing so they just put my grip on a new gun and stamprd the same serial # on it and set me on my way, I sold the PF-11 to my neighbor and bought the PF-9. for a little easier carry in my pocket.

Good God, man!!

Just save up until you can get a nice pre-lock Smith or even a Glock 26.

Buying junk is always a mistake both in function and resale value.

Sure, some junk guns work perfectly for a long time.....but will yours?

No offense taken.

I totally agree. I had one Taurus 9mm and I got rid of it in less than one month from purchase. Spend a little more and get a lot better gun. A few dollars less is not worth it when it comes to your life or someones life.

I have never had a Taurus semi-auto. I did have a .45 ACP snub rev. Never had a problem of any sort. Just decided it was too large for me to conceal well.

I had two Kel-Tecs a P-32 no problems, didn't do a "fluff & buff" or anything else other then clean and lube.

Traded it for a P3AT baaad mistake two trips back to the factory (the shipping for which put me into a Seecamp price range) and it still didn't work.

Bought both, Kel-Tec PF9 and Taurus PT-111

Kel-tec went back to store three days later (did not like it) Taurus still working great..My normal carry is a Smith & Wesson SW99 or 990L in .40cal
