This unique piece of history is in incredible shape and appears fully functioning (I have not fired it myself) with no mechanical defect. Learn more in your S&W standard on page 133 (4th edition). Serial number is 5335XX which does put this towards the final quarter or so of the production line of 525670-536684. I believe this piece was manufactured in 1938 or 1939. I do not know much about it's history but I know you will enjoy uncovering hidden stories.
