I'm selling my Neil Keller, Kustom Ballistics, Caspian frame & slide 1911. If you're unfamiliar with Neil he is a member, past secretary and former president of the APG. He also won the Pistolsmith of the Year award in 2003.
I had this built just over 4 years ago and it has been perfectly reliable and extremely accurate. I've never put the gun in my Ransom Rest because the magwell would have required me to alter the grip inserts, but rest assured it shoots well. The basic build list is as follows:
Caspian frame and slide
Checkered front strap, 25 LPI
Checkered mainspring housing, 25 LPI
High grip cut under trigger guard
Frame shortened .250"
Ed Brown Maxi-well TIG welded to frame
Front and rear slide cocking serrations
Top and rear of slide serrated
Ball cuts on slide
Kart barrel and bushing
1 piece guide rod
Wolff springs
Champion adjustable night sights
Extended magazine release
Bead blasted, polished slide
Black oxide finish
