Greetings Everyone...

Just a question on replacing recoil springs. I looked at Wolff Spring site, they have a Guide Rod and spring that is not a "captive Spring".

It states that the Guide Rod can only be used with Wolff Springs, no other.

Wondering if anyone here has used it, and if so what kind of luck they had with that set up.

Thanks

Best

IMHO, you are paying extra for less lifetime and less reliability.
The old piano wire has been seriously outclassed by the flat-wound silicon steel springs supplied by ISMI, made specifically for the M&P.
Brownells has the stock ISMI spring assembly available, plus higher and lower # rated springs for unusual loads. The S&W steel guide rod with a bolt in the end for changing springs is the best I've found for the M&P.

Thanks for the info! Very much appreciated!

Learning a lot on this forum! Been shooting a lot of years, but still much to be learned!
