I wish S&W would reopen it's own woodshop again. The quality and useability of the stock's/grips currently on new S&W's are horrible. I know that to keep costs down they use subcontractor garbage, but at the high cost of new S&W's I personally would not mind springing a bit more for proper wood!

I agree ....but I dont see things going back "to the way they were"
Its a shame lots of people out of work and tough times...see places shutting down all the time...I think if Smith would drop the L(you know what) and get some old style grips ...the sales would be out the roof
