wooden presentation case

How long ago did s&w discontinue there wooden presentation case?

I purchased a brand new unshot s&w m29-10 44mag revolver and it came with a blue plastic case plus the presentation case. This revolver was purchased but never shot.

Bill, can you post a photo or 2 or the wood case? They changed or evolved over the course of their production, that and we do not know if the case is original to the gun itself. Do you have a copy of the Standard Catalog? Kyle
