"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."
C. S. Lewis

One can do a lot worse than quoting C.S. Lewis - and you're right - words of wisdom, indeed.

It is during despotic times such as these that the real America, the one given to us by the blood and sweat of those who sacrificed so the rabbit people who actively seek to undermine it can live in comfort, comes to the fore. It behooves us to remember that those who believe they can legislate away evil are only deluding themselves.

The rabbit cannot understand the mind of the fox because . . . well, he's a rabbit. The fox and the wolf have always preyed on the rabbit and sheep and will do so until the last rabbit lies down to be exterminated and the last sheep eviscerated, since the fox or the wolf will never die quietly. It is up to the guard dogs that stand between the fox and the rabbit, the wolf and the sheep, to not grow weary or give up the fight, especially in the darkest hours. For one thing is certain - if the last guard dog falls the winner will not be the rabbits or the sheep . . .

In a blog yesterday the question concerned gun confiscation with people stating how difficult this would be. One post had the solution, call in the Military. He stated they are charged with protecting us, therefore this would be their mission. I'm starting to understand that the problem with "mental health" is bigger than we thought.
