So Budweiser is a major sponsor, but Qatar decided at the last minute (well, 2 days before the first game) to ban alcohol sales in the stadium.
Budweiser is stuck with more beer than they can now sell in the limited venues that are still available. They've decided to give it to the winning team. Oh, and they want $47 million back from FIFA...
World Cup 2022: Budweiser will ship all the beer banned from Qatar stadiums to winning country
On Prime. Just put it on. Will report back.
Wail.... Kinda fun, but mtgianni's remembrance of the movie was better than the movie itself. (Jack Palance as an Afghan chieftain was fun!)
They deserve to lose. Tell their coach to wear a different T Shirt and I might re-thunk it.
Kane looked like he'd just started the game nevermind played 90+ minutes in Qatar
Does anyone know why his shirt reads "States United," on two lines, with States being above United rather than reading "United States?"
I am aware of languages that read right to left but not bottom to top.
Well, after the stalemate of yesterday, our household is in mourning for Mexico losing to Argentina.![]()
Gee. You don't suppose some folks post ridiculous comments simply to get a reaction, do ya?!
The ref on the field and the VAR guy must have been blind, today. The Spanish players were filthy, up to all their La Liga tricks today. Kicking out if beaten in a tackle, or pulling a guy down if he beats you by grabbing his calf, or pretty much undressing the other player by grabbing his shorts. The other trick is if somebody's arm gets up near your shoulder, clutch your face and roll around like you were caught in the chops by a 3' length of lead pipe. Utterly ridiculous, especially as at least two of the German bookings were for nothing more than firm, but legal tackles.
Spain also made a classic error in the second half. They started playing "keep-ball" at minute 73 before the Germans scored. Bad plan, they should have pressed for a second goal. This let the Germans back in for the tie. No more than they deserved, for me.
