Worlds Largest Army

  AMERICA'S  HUNTERS --- Pretty Amazing!  
 
  The  world's largest army...America's hunters! I had never thought  about this....

A  blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states  and arrived at a striking conclusion:

There  were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of  Wisconsin. 
Allow me to restate that number:  
 
  Over  the last several months  
  Wisconsin's hunters  became the eighth largest army in the world.
 
  More  men under arms than in Iran.  
 
  More  than France  
  and Germany combined.

These  men deployed to the woods of a single American state, Wisconsin,  to hunt with firearms, and no one was killed.
 
That number  pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods  of Pennsylvania and Michigan's
700,000  hunters, all of whom have now returned  home safely.
 
Toss in a quarter million hunters  in West  Virginia and  it literally establishes the fact  that the  hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest
army  in the world....And then add in the total number of hunters in  the other 46 states..It's millions more.
 
The  point?
 
America will forever be safe from foreign invasion  with that kind of home-grown firepower.


Hunting  -- it's not just a way to fill the freezer.  It's a matter of 
national security.

Overall it's  true so if we disregard some assumptions that hunters don't possess  the same skills as soldiers the question would still remain, what army  of 2 million
would want to face 30, 40, 50 million armed  citizens.

Don't  ever allow gun control or confiscation of guns,
for the sake of our  freedom.

Yamamoto did noy say that thing about Americans and guns and pretty much nobody in Japan ever wanted to invade the United States.

All they wanted to do was cause such horrible bloodshed as we tried to take back islands that the Americans would sue for peace. They almost succeeded.

The numbers of hunters is indeed awesome though. And yes, if we had too we could field a lot of armed people.

Think of the numbers of gun owners who do not hunt. I would bet the number is about 1 to 1., or in essence the number of armed people would double.

Granted, we aren't a military trained force. However hunters have much higher grade camo making them all but invisible, and for the most part all are superb marksmen. I pity the army that would think it wise to try and invade a country with that many snipers that know the land they are guarding........

Bloomie doesn't need to worry about me bringing my weapons, OR my keester to his dung hill city! LOL! ... We are a whole different breed of people up here where I live...

Switzerland has the highest militia gun ownership rate in the world. Full Auto, etc..

USA: An estimated 34 percent of the citizens in the United States own firearms, and there are thought to be more than 200 million firearms in private hands.

I think the 200 million number is low???
We all know how hard math is with our Gov.

There are 640 million guns in the world, and another 8 million new guns are manufactured annually by more than 1,200 companies in 92 countries. Ten billion to 14 billion units of ammunition are manufactured every year.

So the USA has ~1/3 of the guns in the world ???

Don't worry about invasion in our lifetime. It is the people that want to cut that number down, anyway they can, that you need to worry about.
