Worst customer service ever?

After looking at set of original set of sights from a S&W Magna Classic
l can say there is a definite difference. between Gold and Copper bead
sight. Their shapes are different too.. The Gold is Concave and shines
brilliantly.. Copper bead is dull and convex

Do you think the difference you're seeing is mainly due to the dullness or shape of the bead? If it's dull brass, it can be polished with little effort. However, the difference in shape is interesting. I thought the brass bead I had received was simply flat, but a closer look shows that, while it may be "essentially flat", it does appear to be very slightly convex. The curvature is quite subtle and something I can feel better than see.

I just got off the phone with Roz at S&W, who I believe is in charge of returns. She agreed that placing an order with S&W should not be so aggravating and promised to refund all charges. As for an explanation of the irregularities, she explained that they are having difficulties with some new software. As for the sight, she said if it's defective, I should just dispose of it. But before I do that, I will try to modify it; hopefully I can get it level without removing too much material from the bottom. If I can't fix it, then I'll eventually take another look at the SDM sight.

For the record, I just wanted to mention that it took over a month and another phone call for S&W to credit my CC card for the purchase price. I noticed after several weeks that the amount had not yet been refunded and called customer service again, asking to speak to Roz. She is very pleasant to deal with and explained that the refund order had been initiated within the system but had somehow not been carried out. It took some extra coaxing from someone at S&W to make it happen. All's well that ends well. But fair warning: If you place an order with S&W these days, their computer system is a mess.
