Maybe not. Mine has just broken a striker with less than 200 rounds. I had dry fired it some and that is when the striker broke. Before I thought they were a good bang for the buck. I am waiting on a shipping label from S&W. At least they have a good warranty.

Yep.

Great gun and one of the few out there that really is lefty friendly (most that are considered ambi involve a lot of work to make them so). I like safety free semi-autos and this one works much like a revolver in op and feel.

I'm considering getting one for my wife.

No, I don't think I would buy another Sigma. I think I would have to step up to the M&P models. Better guns at a higher price...but maybe that is just because I am evolving with my gun purchasing.

Oh Ya...I'd buy another one for my wife, however she already has mine cause she liked it so much...maybe I need to buy myself another... No problems at all...just alot of shootin fun....

I have a Sigma 9VE and a SWaMPy 9c. I am looking seriously at the SD40. It's only $60 more, has a better trigger and a night sight front blade. Grip feels a little larger than the 9VE.

Who thinks the SD is a good improvement.

If you check they still have the rebate for the sigmas going on. And depending on where you purchase the gun it can be well over $100 savings. I haven't purchased one yet but Buds has the Sigma 40v at around $333 and the SD40 is at $403. Then you add the $50 rebate. And if you get the polished stainless from Bud's then you save another $34. Just saying.....

Buy another? Nope... I still haven't found a use for the one I have now other than sitting in one of my bug out bags. I put some work into it.. it's reliable and the trigger is better, but I have no use for it. I don't carry it and I don't use it for target or HD. I pretty much have it as a reserve gun.

You can go to Academy and get it for $319 all day long. Just sayin..

Any news or update on your repair status deanodog?
Just wondering. I hope it went or is going well!

Yes , after i got use to it , i realy started to like it a lot. Would like to get a 40VE when i can afford it.

Voted yes. I keep thinking about get a 40VE to go with the 9VE since 40 is the only common handgun caliber I don't own. The rebate makes it hard to resist.

But I have several other items I'd like to add to my collection first.

Without a doubt.I have the 40ve now i will buy the 9ve.One of the best gun values on the market. It shoots very well no trigger problem to me.

I recieved my sw9ve back from S&W yesterday and it said "replaced striker and tested o k. Good service.

I own a Sigma .40 and the wife has a 9mm. I will be be getting my daughter a .40 as a Birthday surprise soon. The rebates make it a great deal, but you have to apply for it. A Kidney transplant 5 years ago got in the way of my rebate paperwork for the 2 pistols, but I am not complaining- I am alive to tell about it !.

Hi new here, I would buy another 9VE. I have put approx. 1800 rounds thru it and the trigger is alot better now. I was gonna wait for the 45 but, bought a 4586 from Buds 2 weeks ago. clean and trigger is like butter.

Yes, I would buy another. I'm not crazy about the trigger but don't hate it either. From reading these posts I think I got the best deal. I bought the gun on sale at FinFeatherFur for $279 plus a $50 rebate and 2 free magazines. At $229 with 4 mags you just can't beat it.
I have 600 rounds through my .40 and 1300 through my 9mm, all trouble free.
