I have had mine for a month now, shot about 2000 rounds through it. So far no ftf no fte, got 5 25rd mags and just got two 10rd for bench shooting. This thing shoots 1" groups all day with a 2.5x10 power scope at 50yds. Could probably do better with a good bench setup, I only have a wiggly old table at my backyard range right now.
This is definatly the most fun gun I have ever owned. I have had just about everthing over the course of 45 years. My custom 10-22 is a bit more accurate but was built especially for it. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun plinker. I've been having so much fun I bought 5700 rounds of ammo, 4200 fed 525 bulk, 1500 CCI tactical, brings my stockpile up to over 10k now :D should keep me busy for another month.
Thats all for now, gonna try to do some chrony testing and bench work soon with the new ammo will post results when I do.
Shoot well my friends, Rigby

They are addictive. Just got a new scope for mine. waiting on afew more accessories, and it'll be off to the range again...

Great, man! Enjoy it for many years to come.

I had a 3-hour lesson from a guy who trains our local area law enforcement officers all about tac rifle use, cleaning, accurate shooting and safety - best $175 I've spent. He was so impressed with my 15-22 he went out and bought one!

So, today was my first outing with the M&P, and I give it a "+1" on the awesomeness factor. Had a few FTFs and FTEs, all with Winchester HV ammo. Not a hint of a problem with the Federal Champion loads. I think the barrel was getting fouled by the leaded slugs from the Winchester ammo, I seemed to lose some accuracy toward the end of the session. Hopefully, all it needed was a good cleaning--lots of little lead particles came out during the cleaning! Wow. But definitely a fun plinker. Can't wait to get out there again.

Give your rifle a good cleaning, and then stick to Fed bulk pack, Winchester M-22, or anything made by CCI. Avoid Remington branded .22 ammo like the plague.

I'm still not 100% sure the reason but my 2nd outing ever with it, I had a lot of FTF's with CCI Blazer. I maybe didn't clean it right(left too much oil on the bolt face?) I was pretty bummed out but it's been super excellent after that. That's my preferred bulk box

Yes these AR-15 clones are addictive and I'm allways looking for something to add to mine :D. I recently purchased a Leapers UTG 30mm SWAT 3-12x 44 compact scope w/AO Mil-Dot. On order is a Mako Fore-Grip & Bipod Combo, this should be a sweet setup once everything is installed. Also on order are the Magpul XTM rail covers ;). Will be enjoying this rifle for many years to come:).

AMMO is the only thing you will want to stock up on! I buy a Federal Bulk pack everytime i am near Scheels or WallyWorld...i maintain 2000 rounds at all time (with 200 loaded in magazines it burns up quick)

You are with the right group of guys to keep the info flowing (and ChatanoogaPhil to keep us civil! :D)

How much did you pay for your scope? Do you know what's the highest power magnification I can get in a compact scope?

Thanks for all the replies guys. I stocked up on ammo all at once to be sure to get all the same lot no. This thing is so addictive one cannot have too much ammo. :}
Shoot well my friends, Rigby

With all the lead fouling and particles that I scrubbed out of my barell and chamber, I think I'll be sticking to the Federal bulk stuff from Cabelas or Gander Mtn. I don't think anything that says Winchester on it is getting near my new addition (and definitely nothing from Jamington, either!). Thanks for all the replies, weather turned today's planned birthday shooting into a "Gee, we have no power, it's raining, 50 MPH winds, what do we do now?" kind of day. Damn hurricane...

Im definatly sticking with fed or cci, visibly cleaner and even "sounds" more uniform. Mine shoots like a house afire with either, dont mess with success.
Life is short, shoot now for a long time :) ayuh, Rigby

I've got a scope from mine, decent at 100, but i think that i'm eventually going to make a red-dot/eotech shooter for Close quarters, just a thought, glad you're having fun bro, haven't put my MOE down since i've owned it. LoL
