Some years ago I made an outstanding purchase of a very fine 27-2 as a way of repaying my brother for a small loan he made to me at a time when I was short of funds. Well last year I received a letter from the seller asking if he could buy it back. I asked my brother if he would consider it and he decided to decline and I wrote the seller back with the bad news. Recently I received a second letter with a lot more of the sellers story and I was persuaded that the gun should go home to its original owner - my brother was persuaded as well. So now I have the pistol as I wait for the check from the seller.
I know these pistols are rare and expensive these days but I have to ultimately replace it kind for kind and it is a 6.5” 99% FBI service pistol. If I have to I will go to the auction sites or Fugate or others but I would prefer doing business with this crowd so if you would like to part with one from your collection (and it does not have to be a safe queen-just fit for purpose and pretty) then please contact me. The original seller was generous with his buy back offer so name your price. One last idea to consider. My haha BBQ gun is a 3” nickel 13-2 in 99+ condition with Grashorn stag and El Paso Austin holster that I will part with if you are the type of fellow that would prefer to go that route. No box.
