In the process of buying a S&W 617 4" and I want some "purdy" grips for it. I really like the look of maple on a stainless-steel revolver. So, I'm looking K/L Frame size. I'm not sure on finger groove or smooth as either would work well on a low recoil .22lr. I like the Birds Eye Maple and Curly Maple. Matte oiled or glossy (kind of liking the glossy)? I know most of this is personal decision but it's a little hard when ordering online and not being able to handle the grips before I purchase them. I have looked online at some Badger and CFP brand. I guess my hands a medium size. Looking for help from the experts. Thanks!
