I don't know anything about the recoil spring or what it's rated at although it worked fine. However I put a new one in from Brownells and it was a lot stronger but I didn't notice any difference. I bought the extractor parts as new on EBAY as spares for my 4506 pistol which I sold. I'm selling them as is so email me if you have questions. 25.00 shipped, Thanks
