Looking to trade (up, down, or straight across, depending) for a "like new" Model 649 no-dash, the earlier the better. Must be all original, with the box and customary paperwork, tools, etc.
If you have one as described, and are open to a trade, let me know and we will exchange some pictures and negotiate. I have shown approximate values for possible trade guns to comply with Forum guidelines.
A face-to face-transaction with a fellow Texan would be preferable to save shipping and transfer fees on both ends. Otherwise, each party agrees to:
1) pay to ship their respective weapon to the other party, and
2) pay all transfer fees on their end.
3) a 3 day "non-fire" inspection period with return privilege
I have the following for trade:
1) S&W Model 29-2, .44 Magnum, 8-3/8" bbl, brite blue, serial N631xxx, P&R, TT, TH, TS, RR, WO. Includes presentation case, tools, and paper, everything is original and in excellent condition. Gun looks new, very low round count. Value $750.
2) Sig Sauer P225, 9mm, 3.5" bbl, matte blue, serial M644XXX (late 90s), 3 factory mags. NOT A P6. Includes original everything (black Sig case, factory test target, trigger guard lock, hang tags, etc. Everything looks new, very low round count. Original owner.
Value $500.
3) S&W Model 28-2, .357 Magnum Highway Patrolman, 4" bbl, Satin Blue, serial S302XXX. TT, TH, TS. Includes original box (not marked TT TH TS), tools, and paper. Box is sound but the top has a tear in the blue paper. Gun looks new.
Value $650.
I have all kinds of references if you need one. I am an honorably retired (2005) CA LEO (27 years service) and a 2001 graduate of the FBI National Academy.
