WVPSC 4566TSW

Well after many emails and phone calls I have one of the last used ones available. It shipped out to the FFL dealer today and then begins the journey to get it north of the border. I hope to have the serial number by Monday as it wasn't sent to me today. I'll update when I have more details. Thank you to everyone who posted and sent me a PM. This is one great group!

Here's mine, UCU8686. Very good shape, the grips show some use but that's about it. I'll keep them, since it gives it some character.

Night sights are probably 50%. I fired 2 mags through it to make sure it works. No problems.

It came with everything, including the fired cartridge and even the orange safety plug.

It was worth it IMHO.

They forgot to send me my invoice and the store is closed for vacation this week. I won't have the serial number until next Monday it looks like. :(

Very great thanks to the OP nitmr26. I was very happy to become aware of this chance to get one. Question to the OP based on the quote.

It sounds like you were previously issued a WVPSC 4566TSW and from another post it sounds like the distributor had all 83 pistols from the agency. Were they not offered to officers to purchase before going back to the distributor?

You are most welcome. I'm glad I stumbled on the WVPSC pistols and was able to pass along the info.

I bought two 4566TSWs: one that was NIB and one that had been issued to a WVPSC officer. When I stated that I weighed my previously issued 4566TSW, I meant that I had weighed the one that was not new in the box. I retired from the USMC but was never in law enforcement.

Pictures WVSP 4566TSW - bottom right is gone (to me) other 2 seem to show more significant carry wear. Asking $1350 with 3 mags but no matching case.

What was the dealer getting for those?
Subject of Original Post in April was 4566TSW WVPSC (Public Service not WVSP State Police) Melonite with Integral Rail - same as WVSP but NO unique markings. 83 pistols total - S/N have been listed. New in box (SW case) w/2 mags $1250 as I recall - and good used with S/N matching SW case and 2 mags $850. All were gone by early May. But I have seen same pistols being offered for resale asking in excess of $1250 including the used ones that were $850 from original source = WV Law Enforcement Distributors.

Same dealer had 3 WVSP pistols with unique WVSP logo and 3 mags asking was $1350 in early July per my previous post. But last I heard mid July there were only 2 left so may be gone by now or if not may be negotiable(?)

I just purchased one of the WVPSC from GB

I have been wanting one of the WVSP TSW4566 ever since I saw a posting here late last year. I have always been a fan of the All Steel SW pistols and I was able to pick up a nice slightly use 645 about 3 years ago and a very nice CHP TSW4006 when they first became available about 6 years. When I saw the PSC pistol on GB I knew the price was a little high but since that was one of 83 pistol it made it special. All the pictures made it pistol look great there was just a little missing black area from the Barrel hook and some minor scuffs on the grips which will be getting replaced with Hogue Cocobolo Checkered Grips. The pistol should be in my hands by Wednesday or Thursday next week and I will post pictures of my addition. I would say the pistol is 93-95% which is fine with me because I am going to shoot it and after I replace all the springs with new Wolff Springs and put a set of new Trijicon Night Sights I hope to find a Holster Rig so I can add it to my Carry Rotation. I have been mainly carrying my 1911 and Sig P220 45acp and P220 Legion 10mm for the past year or so.
I saw one of the pictures on this posting that showed a 4566 with Magazines that had Extended Base Plates who makes them? I prefer to run Extended Aluminum Magazine Base Plates on my Carry Pistols since it allows me to do a quicker magazine change.
