Barrel is properly stamped “HS” for High Standard.

But I would not represent it to be original issue for this particular Ithaca.

Beautiful Ithica & nice shooting! I've got an original Ithica upper with the HS barrel. Lower is Essex. It's an old mixmaster. Not an Armory rebuild. It shoots very good. I wish it was all original like yours. Too bad these old 1911's cannot tell their stories...I know some can due to providence.
