I have a very nice condition complete Remington wood ammo box including top and original wing nuts for 1800 .38 Super cartridges lot 5001. I also have two 50 round boxes of the ammunition in very nice shape. Anyone have any idea of a fair selling price for these items? There is some history on this up on the net and I believe they were part of a government contract in 1945.

If you can get Pate's book on WWII sidearms, there is a section on the 38 Super and the ammo. I found it most interesting.

Very cool. The crate held two spam cans which had 900 rounds each in 50 round boxes.
