Yay, no pay!

I'm supposed to get a check today, but it ain't happening.
I survived the 95 shut down, several threats, and at least One YTK from the goobermint.
Don't care, won't worry, and life is still good.
Not pointing fingers, let's just say both sides need to consider the people they're supposed to represent rather than their own self interest.
The sick, the needy, those that risked all that fools may rule.
Shame on this government that puts it's own agenda before the people it needs to protect and serve.

Won't get in to the Politics as it is Verboten here
but suffice it to say, i think every single member
of the House, Senate, and White House should have
to play by the same rules as the every day working man.
NO perks, special pensions, different health plans, Vacations every
month etc....
It might also do America a favor by recalling the entire Congress
and starting from scratch. With new and improved rules for
those serving the people.
Sad, but watching our "leaders" these days sickens me.

As of 9:00 am my government checks had been direct deposited in my account. But I agree with the above statement. A vote of no confidence in our elected officials is due; a recall and new elections and new rules.

Well, I feel like a jerk for saying this, but it kind of works out for me....

See, this Saturday is opening day of archery deer season here in PA, and a buddy of mine who is still employed with the same Govt. agency I retired from, and I were going to hunt this 290 acre farm we have access to. Lots of big bucks. His ladder stand is in a perfect spot. Much better then my spot. He just found out if he calls in sick on Sat., he will not receive sick pay, so he is going to work, and hunt his normal days off the following week.

So I am thinking I might just try out his stand on Sat. morning....

Does that make me a bad person?...

So you got to travel to work at your expense then got furloughed? That's special. I saw on TV they were having them report to work to be sent home in many places. As that Southern Belle joke goes, "How nice!"

Government guy I know got a text on Monday night saying stay home Tuesday. Seems like a more reasonable way of doing business.
