Featuring the 6666 was nothing but
advertisement for the writer's partial
or whole ownership in it.

I fear what's left of the series will be
about the same with maybe a big
bang conclusion. Maybe.

Yeah, but the matching red shirts were purty .
I said the same thing to the wife about halfway through, about when the self promos of booze and apparel appeared.
We'll keep watching, the show has done well enough that some filler material won't put us off too much.

I guess I'm too hard on the franchise.....

Afterall, the spin-off's have got Sam Elliot and Harrison Ford off the bread lines and they don't need to have their cardboard "will work for food" signs on the street corners for a few more months at least.

It's getting more and more preachy.
As much as I like Kevin Costners acting,The raspy voice is better suited for Clint.

Compared to the alternatives on standard programing, it be award material. Some thought it was too violent, then when it calms down some want more action. They could certainly use some varied plot themes, but the whole show revolves around one theme.

When I got here over 40 years ago there were a whole bunch of enormous cattle ranches around. Made friends with a few folks, before they sold out. Never did see a "working lunch" with a few hands picking out a catchy tune in the dust and heat. Musta visited on the wrong day. Joe

I thought episode 8 had some pretty interesting parts.

Really liked the scene with Beth and Summer about her Tito’s M&M’s.

What I think...more hope is that John and Jamie may be working together to destroy Market Equities.

Jamie would never cross Beth about the picture of him dropping off his dad at the train station, because he knows he would also be in the slammer for life. Wouldn’t be a gain for him.

John never wanted the governor job, just took it to keep Jamie from that office...before he had the leverage of the train station picture.

The Market Equities girl told Jamie she could hire a team to kill Beth and make it look like a heart attack or car wreck. If him and John are working together, that would be their way to kill the corporation.

John steps down from a job he never wanted before he's impeached, Jamie gets the position, and Market Equites dies a fast death.

I had such hopes…….

I had hoped to see the last of The Adventures of Crackhead Jimmy, but there he was.

I just shake my head at the whole “train station” concept. Every place is in a county (or Parish) and they all have Sheriffs who have jurisdiction over it. There is no inter-dimensional place outside of everyone’s jurisdiction in the US. They’re been rolling bodies down that hill for 120 years - nobody has figured it out? C’mon! And before all you cowpokes start aw-shucksing about wild places and shootin’ and shovelin’ and shuttin’ up let me point out - nobody is buryin’ ‘em. All those clothing wrapped 180 pound meat parcels are just getting chucked down a hill. Regularly, for 120 years. A coyote or bear hunter would have found it 100 years ago. Hell, I would get called out to the absolute middle of nowhere because somebody found an ancient skull that rain storm washed up. These guys are getting away with a regiment of dead bodies piled up at the bottom of a hill?

I hope they rein it in and inject a little bit of sanity. Right now it looks like they’ve hired the geniuses behind the last six years of The Walking Dead.

My wife loves it, so I bite my lip a lot.

The "train station" is a fictional reference
to a place called the Zone of Death, a sliver of
land that doesn't have clearcut jurisdiction.
Technically a crime committed there might
not be covered by the Sixth Amendment
of a suspect's right to a quick jury trial.

I love westerns, and like Kevin Costner as an actor, but just can’t latch onto Yellowstone. Total nighttime soap opera, with beautiful scenery, and lots of ugly human behavior and language. No thanks.

My wife and I have yawned our way through this season. The meat of the story has always been the conflict between Jamie and the rest of the family, and the fight to keep the land. Now that the battle lines are drawn and we finally get some fresh story line, it's over. Gotta wait for another 6 or 7 months to see what happens. I hope by then we can remember what they were fighting about.

All the Duttons and "cowboys" are
sleazy in their own ways but I like Jamie because
he's the family outsider, the major threat
to basically a criminal operation.

At least its the only cowboy type programing around here, its better than repeats of The Magnificent Seven that's on every other day LOL.

I love Westerns and my girlfriend and I like the show but I have to keep reminding myself it's just a show, I went to Montana this spring and I didn't see one cowboy hat, bar fight, or shooting. Here in Oklahoma my friends that are ranchers ride horses occasionally when cattle are in the mud but most of time they work cattle on their 4 wheelers or pickups and I don't think they ever need to lasso a cow or calf. My rancher buddy and his sons know how to lasso but I think they do it just for fun. When they need to sell cows or give them medicine, I'm not sure but I think they just put food out and the cows will come to them.

I'll continue watching it hoping for improvement, but it's been a slow mover so far.

I think creator/writer Taylor Sheridan
is extremely talented but he's stretched
himself too thin.

He obviously has been caught up in the
glory of Hollywood power and money
with his TV franchises. His choice.

I'd like to see him return to quality two-hour
films like his Sicario, Hell or High Water and
Wind River.
