A 4" barrel Colt Police Positive Special with Herrett's stocks. The stocks feel great, but the thumbrest is in my way. The gun has been reblued, the Colt emblem has been polished off, there is some light pitting in the cylinder flutes. Serial # is 406XX. Bore and chambers are clean. I would like a set of wood service stocks for it, if anybody can point me towards any for sale. A W.A.G. at the D.O.B. would be appreciated too. Thanks for any help.

I have a police positive special with 4 in. bbl in 32-20 dated to 1917

The 32-20 is a great caliber. Over the years I`ve picked up 4 nice shooters in 32-20. With exception of the Colt Army Special, the collectors would not be much interested in them (see notes below) but I like them.

Colt Army Special in 32-20. Original gun in fairly nice shape for its age. Made 1926.

S&W M&P in 32-20. Made 1920. Reblued and has seen some heavy buffing here and there in the process. A little ugly in places, but a good shooter.

I bought this one thinking it was an Official Police in 32-20. But after looking up the serial number I found that it was an Army Special that had been rebarreled with an Official Police barrel.

He said was a P.P. Special! It doesn't merely "appear" to be, it has to be the long frame or it can't be a .32-20.

ColbyBruce, for a guy who didn't even want a 32-20 2 months ago, you seem to be amassing quite a few of them...:)

I am on my way to Wal-Mart now to buy up every single box of .32/20 ammo on the shelves.
