OK, I'm guessing someone will start calling me "vintage". Guess they're right.

I like old ammo. I spent years stopping at country yard sales and barn sales, scarfing up the old boxes and partial boxes of ammo. I remembered it from my youth. When Dad would let me pick in the dirt for the old fired cartridges (and an occasional dropped round.) Those were treasures, but he'd always confiscate them at the end of the day. I remember I particularly liked the nickel plated Super-X rounds. Something about the tiny letters embossed into the head of a 22.
I never forgot them, I just hadn't seen any in years. Then one day maybe 30 years ago I stumbled on a box. From then the race was on. Everyone I saw came home. And I learned a new trick from it. Any yard sale where the sellers/folks were old (look who's talking), I'd ask. I'd try to be polite, and I didn't always limit it to 22s.

But I'm still in the mode of wanting my youth (who isn't.) So when I see a cigar box, I'm instantly interested.
Extend that to gun shows and walk in old coots. I'm really afraid soon I won't be able to find many guys much older. But some of the guys our age (yes, I'm assuming) may have their own fathers cigar boxes. Pay particular attention to old style boxes, not the newer ones. Those have the most potential.
