WOW ... Some BEAUTIFUL Guns !! .. I just picked this up and I'm gonna break the rules, just die'n to share my new find .. Pre Model 27 from 1953 with 3.5" Barrel .. I know it's says 4" LOL .. But goosh I wanted to show her off !! .. I just saw a post about Roy moving, I was wondering why my check wasn't cashed, I also sent off to have this lettered.

Could always use a "birth year" gun! :D
 
So, a 28-2 with 4-inch in really nice condition. A 27-2 which has been bobbed. I have no idea what the original barrel length was. The gunsmith did an outstanding job, it's actually hard to tell it has been altered.

I also have a 629-4 Mountain Gun and a 38/44 Heavy Duty, but those are not handy to take photos of right now.

The good news is that the bobbed 27 means it's a shooter! (Not that I don't shoot all of them, just that this one I don't have to wince just a bit when I think about value. Of course, I still pull the trigger...)

The 38/44 has a star stamped in front of the serial number. I understand that means it went back to the factory for service of some sort. I really need to letter that one.

Well, got new grips on the 629-4, so here's a picture of that.
