Your Most Carried S&W

442-2 by far.

Mine too. Pocket, IWB, OWB. Great little revolver. Not too heavy, not too light.

I bought this 649 in 1995. For 20 years prior to that I had been carrying my blued 49 everyday as a second. After 1995 the 649 was my everyday 2nd gun. And I do mean everyday. It was always on me whether on duty or off duty.
After I retired I prettied it up a bit. Still my most carried gun. Summer time when in tshirt weather for sure it's with me. In winter time when I can carry something a bit larger the 649 is still close by.

This 4006 isn't yet, but it will be.

I saw this a couple months ago at my LGS. I was carrying a Colt DS, 4th issue, and when I went to the city (Portland or Seattle) I'd carry my 39-2. I decided I'd rather have just one to carry all the time, so I talked myself into buying it. I didn't have to try very hard.

More power than the .38 or the 9mm, and holds twice as many rounds as the DS. But the real selling point was that it's stainless. I get sweaty, and I'm in the rain quite a bit.

I've shot it enough to trust it, and it's become my EDC.

And if I ever need an emergency anchor, I'm set!

I ccw my new s&w m58 for a few miles then figured there too nice to ccw carry. My ruger's get the most mileage in ccw carry. " magnums"

I've used a .357 J Frame Model 640-1 as an EDC in a pocket or IWB holster. As per my son's incessant nagging about the J Frame's 5 round capacity, I've now joined the modern age of firearms with a 9mm CZ Rami. Just waiting on a holster for the Rami...

My S&W 640-1 with Crimson Trace Grips. Lives in the pocket of my shorts in the summer. And in my jacket pocket the rest of the year. I know it is just not very popular to most everybody here, but to me it is just ((( Outstanding ))).

Through the years my 629-1 has traveled extensively thru the woods of several states and on occasion around the place and has accompanied me through several places that were in states of either semi or total chaos and yes if not able to carry a long gun it was very comforting as out to 75 or 100 yards it is nearly as effective as a carbine .I never been even insulted much less attacked while wearing it .

I'm delighted to see so many snubbies mentioned here as well as so many 640-1 models being carried in pockets. Although I'm still going to give the Rami a go, you guys make me feel vindicated in my choice for 640 carry. It might be interesting to look at the age demographic with that choice to go with a short barrel revolver. My guess is we all happen to be close to or over 60.
