Just read another great post in the 'smithing section, and it was brought to my attention that some moon clips can be a reason for ignition problems due to the thickness.

Which moon clips do you use/trust for competition use?

For the 25/625, I use Ranch moonclips.
I have shot thousands of rounds in USPSA matches and not had one problem with the Ranch clips.

Same here. The ranch clips are just fine for the 625. I use Hearthco's for my 627 but buying Hearthco's for the 625 would be a waste of money. Go with the Ranch Products moonclips.

RE: Ranch moon clips it is. Is there a great online source for them, good prices and fair shipping for bulk? Nothing local.
And prices that are too good to be true usually are when the outrageous shipping is added.

Ranch Products includes shipping in their price. They have a web site, but the last time I ordered, you had to call them direct. At that time, they sent me the 100 clips along with an invoice that I then paid by check. That level of trust confirmed what I have long suspected - revolver shooters are a higher class of shooter (and Ranch Products is a higher class of vendor). :)

I use Ranch Products moon clips. Many thousands loaded, 0 failures. Email doesn't work. Call them and they mail them out on your word. When they arrive, you cut them a personal check at $35 per 100 delivered and send it back with the invoice.

My friend has a business that still accepts checks. He gets burned on about 10% which he says was about the amount he was burned with his prior business that took credit cards and personal checks.

Glad to know the likes of Ranch Products are still trusting and producing great products.

Thank you all for the info. 100 45acp Ranch Products moon clips will be on the way tomorrow. Then I mail the check. Very honest and grassroots company!
