your 'run for your life' guns

If I was running for the hills it would be my TC .22 Classic and the 686.

If I was going to stand my ground at the homestead, 12 gauge Model 12 would be in my hands and my 30-06 custom slung over the shoulder.

Perhaps interstellar refugees seeking asylum from a Government that limits their religious practices as well as their free speech. Perhaps they object to taxation without representation and are looking for a new start.

Then WTF are they doing here?

I bet that question was asked the first day the internet started. To answer your basic question I will show my first two. However I belive I could outfit 15 more men equaly well! I probley would lose some time trying to rethink it when I opened the safe. Here is my two.

Highly worked over remington-rand.

Very Nice.

The invaders picked the wrong house, I would exhaust my ammo defending the house and supplies rather than join the refugee throngs.

And I could not do just two anyway.

Some very interesting choices here guys----don't stop now!!! Thank you for your responses.

Nanook---that green lady really WAS hot, and Bat Guano---I read you loud and clear but since I am fairly new to this board was trying not to offend (give me a few more weeks, OK?).

My 3rd go around. Browning 92 44 mag and 29-2 44 mag with 5" barrel.

In any survival situation, I would only take one gun....my 12ga pump.....its has an 18 1/2 inch barrel and interchangable chokes...will shoot just about any thing for any occasion. I would save the extra weight and space for 12ga ammo.

My 6th choices. A winchester 88 .308 and a S&W 27-2.

More sets to come, but I got to go to wally world.

Sir, if we had to run for our lives, we'd take Mrs. Ron H.'s Sig P226 and my Model 28-2.

I wouldn't seriously consider long guns unless we could "walk for our lives" (or better yet, drive).

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

Feralmerril-------2 or 3 guns max, you're up to 10+ now! You have 3 minutes to grab your wife, your kids, your dog, and 2 OR 3 guns with matching ammunition.

I bet you way overpack when you go on vacation, too!!!! Thanx for joining in.....Chris
