Guys I've been noticing a trend I just bought an atlas Erebus for $7,400 and I love this gun very fast and fun to shoot but they just increased it another $500 totally $8,000 and it seems like every year they're increasing it $500 a year I'm just wondering at what point will it stop I want to buy a second Atlas but with the $500 increase I don't think I can justify spending that much money when they haven't made anything different on the gun your thoughts

Heck, I had to search just to figure out what it was. Puny description on the website. Had to go to the reviews to figure out for what cartridge it was chambered.

The good news, the OP can buy the one on which I am going to pass.

I am with Kevin on this one! I can buy a whole bunch of other very nice guns for that kind of money.

Eventually Tisas will make a 2011 compensated race gun. I just bought a Tisas Mac for my son that is supposed to arrive on Monday.

Just a moment...

Once you shoot an atlas you won't want to shoot anything else it's like cheat mode if you're competition shooting. There is not another gun I can think of that even comes close except maybe an Infinity would be its equal aside from that even the staccato XC is mediocre

I won't be buying another Atlas because the price increase is just too much

People tell me about these sorts of guns all the time. While I can't shoot them, I do get to fingerbang them. Yes, they're well-made. Yes, the fit & finish are pretty much perfect in every way.

But I would put my Nighthawk, Les Baer & STI up against them for accuracy & reliability. Were I some sort of master-level shooter, I might think differently, I don't know.

Atlas guns are roughly twice the price of a Baer, Nighthawk or Ed Brown. I don't think their quality is twice better though.

Sir, I have shot a fair amount of IPSC and Bullseye over the years. Never have been overly impressed with high dollar guns. A properly set up M1911 will do whatever they do just as well and at a price that most can afford.

Yes and the price keeps going up exponentially and I can't justify buying a second Atlas when they haven't done anything different for another $500 just like that

For plinking even a striker fire is fine but when you're trying to shave seconds off your time that's when the atlas really outsides them all
