What's not to like...?
Round butt, round barrel K22 with Case Hardened finish...

Some don't like the Heritage guns, some do.
This model in particular is pretty special, whether case hardened by Turnbull as seen above, or the standard blue version.

Unquestionably beautiful. Essentially collectible. Rob ,you are the Quintessential K frame fanatic. My hat's off to you.

Case-color frame close ups ,please.

Regards , Allen Frame

Awesome gun, awesome photo. I have one in plain blue, NIB. I didn't care for the case hardening at first, but it's growing on me. Beautiful colors on that one. Are you going to shoot it? I'm torn regarding shooting mine.

Bob,
So far I've not shot any of the case hardened models, but I have a few blue models that have got range time and they are great. In fact, the K22 is probably the best shooting K22 that I own, it is absolutely a tack driver.
I think the factory made these right.

Are they available now?
I dont see a lock on that case hard beauty above either!

I have a plain blue myself, paid the big bucks when they came out in 2001,and wish that I had bought the cc version as well, when it was subsequently introduced.(especially when they came to be discounted.Fact was though, I didn't see anything special with the first one with regard to quality,in fact the lowest of any of my PC guns.

Here's mine, still NIB, with Hurst stocks for photos. These K22 Heritage revolvers ARE made right!

That's a damn fine looking K-22. I must have changed in the ensuing years since they were made. I don't recall being favorably impressed when they were first on the scene. Hmmmm, might have to keep my eye out for one of those.
