How is everyone carrying their moon clips, whether CCW or in the woods? You see pouches for speedloaders but nothing for the moon clips, especially the .45acp.

When I shot pins with my 1917 S&W Brazilian Contract gun I put the clips in my pockets. There were clip holders made by a competitor from California but I never used them.
I only used the gun as a backup to my M57 on events that allowed going for a second gun.

I shot some PPC type matches with the same gun and carried the clips the same way.

I have heard they will stack two high in some pouches for revolver speedloaders like the H&Ks. Never got around to trying it.

I usually carry two stacked in a North Mountain single post holder. It's fast and secure. Sometimes I use the single California Competition Works holders. These are the same ones in the original configuration that were banned by the IDPA because they're too gamey but actually work quite well out on the street.

I have secured two of them in double nylon speed loader pouches. I carry these on my belt in the upsidedown position. I undo the velcro closure and the moon clip literally falls into my hand.

I carry normally 1 California Competition Moon Clip holder strong side infront of the holster. Some times I might carry 2.

In the winter while wearing a coat, I will also drop a couple moon clips in a coat pocket.

I have been carrying the chrome carriers. I have been thinking about going to the old Black ones that are not bright and shiney. Better for concealed carry.

When I first carried a S&W Mod 25-2, as a Duty Gun, there were no full moon clips.

I carried half moon clips in a Dade Speed loader carrier. It would carry 8 half moon clips in the same space as two 44 Mag Speedloaders.

Later when full moon clips became avialable the dade carrier would carry four full moon clips.
This gave me twice the amount of ammo...

When I carried the Mod 25 in Plain Clothes, or Off Duty, I carried the clips in my right front pocket.

I use a small cell phone leather case that carries two moon clips of 45 acp on my belt. Works fine for me.
