Dedicated "nightstand" guns

Jmo, leaving your gun open on a night stand, just asking for trouble unless you are a really light sleeper. I do have a dedicated house gun, usp/40, it wears a weapon light. It gets locked up during the day.

SIG 229 in .40 W/ Speer gold dots. For a long while I used a SW 625.

My nightstand gun is a Glock 19 with a weapon light mounted on the rail. If I get unexpectedly awakened, I don't want to be fumbling for a flashlight. At the foot of the bed is an 870 with a dedicated forearm weapon light as well. Nice to have choices. :)

The CC of the day still in its holster on the night stand. One gun out at a time. No loaded guns in the house when I am not there. I don't need to get shot by my own gun or have them stolen.

Usually my CC of the day is a 637 with CT laser. One large flashlight always sits there too.
It can also be a Charter Arms Bulldog, or a Colt Officers Model 45. These both have no laser.

I find the missus is more comfortable with my gun laying around in a holster. I have no problem with that. She is also more comfortable when I am carrying.

Away in a hotel, the flashlight and 38 are good piece of mind.

I'm sure many, like myself, sleep with a locked door. Only a skilled lock picker will enter my room at night without me hearing.

MP 9 FS w/Viridian C5L laser/strobe under one side of the pillow, Shield 40 under the other side, Mossberg 930 SPX Blackwater Edition 12 gauge under the bed. Alarm system lets us know if any doors or windows that have been breeched. Dog acts as a backup alarm.

M&P9 FS with a TLR-1 weapon light and spare magazine. I also keep a Polytac flashlight in the drawer so I don't have to use the TLR-1 for general lighting.

Current night stand gun setup? For many years... a G-22 loaded w/ some nice user friendly 180 gr. JHP's. Before that it was a Springfield 1911-A1 Milspec loaded with .45 ACP JHP's. Nowadays it's generally a RIA 1911-A1 loaded w/ 230 gr. hardball. Since it is currently have a new front sight fitted, a S&W 21-4TR is on the night stand loaded with some old school Winchester 246 gr. LRN ammo. Sincerely. brucev.

P226 in .40 with CT laser on the rail, and a Shield 9mm. It's actually on a high closet shelf because I have 18 month old twins that can get in our night stands.

S&W 19-4 loaded with Hornady Critical Defense .357 Mags. Lives there 24/7/365. (Except when I take it to the range for some exercise)
