I'm not knockin the Glock, it's track record speaks for itself. I would just like to read your opinion on pocket carrying a striker fired pistol with no manual safety.
In a duty holster Glock would probably be my first choice, but no way would I carry it in my pocket chambered. Maybe I'm wrong.

I carry a Ruger LCP in my pocket in a Desantis Nemesis. It's cocked and has a round in the chamber with no manual safety. I also don't keep anything else inside that pocket except the pistol and holster. I have not shot myself....yet.

Same here.........but I would never carry a ***** in my pocket because I would never buy a *****.

I don't see how carrying a Glock in your pocket is any different than a revolver. You don't carry a (modern) revolver with an empty chamber, do you? I have carried a Glock 27 in the pocket of my jacket while backpacking. If it's the only thing in your pocket, how's it going to "go off" by itself? You have to pull the trigger, ya know. :)

I looked up the Desantis Nemesis. Looks interesting (I have LCP). If you put that in a inside coat pocket, can you pull the LCP without the holster?

Just a world of difference in the trigger pull weight and travel between the two. Surprised you didn't notice.

Of course I'm talking about an uncocked revolver. :)

There wouldn't be any room as there is a Shield 40 in there already! I don't think it would be a good idea to carry a glock that way, but I will admit that I used to carry a 40c in a pocket holster & it didn't have a safety.

No, and it is just me, but I had a Glock and never liked it. Finally sold it and I've never looked at another one.

I don't have an LCP, but pocket-carry a J-frame in a Nemesis. Fine holster, stays in the pocket when the gun is drawn, holds the piece securely indexed for the draw with the trigger covered, and adds little bulk. Heck of a buy for the money.

My everyday pocket carry is a chamber loaded Glock 30. As long as you use a holster that covers the triger you won't have any problems. Use a kydex holster that is molded to the gun. The holster well be light, thin and won't print. Sometimes I carry a Glock 27 the same way depending on where I am going for the day. Ten rounds of 45 goodness in a reliable, no problems package, In ten years of every day carry I have never been made as far as I know. Life is good. David
