How long have you carried the same EDC pocket knife?

I don't carry the Mini Reflex much any more, but still carry the Impel. I've very recently replaced the Mini Reflex with one or the other of the Bokers pictured, depending on what color my outfit is for the day. Another poster on a different EDC thread turned me on to the Boker knife, and I liked it so much I ordered two . . .
I carry one of those Boker pen things whenever I want to cut my finger.

My EDC knife has changed, a bit, since my original post. I went from carrying one of two Spyderco Delicas for the last 6-7 years to a new Delica that's been Wharncliffe'd to a 2.5" blade that I've been carrying since January.

... until I lose it. That's ok, because I have found many more knives, mostly on a streambank, than I have lost during my life. Of course, most of those knives have been lost, too! I recently decided to honor my Dad by carrying his Schrade Old Timer instead of letting it sit on the shelf where it has been for 25 years or so. Imagine my dismay when I recently reached in my pocket and found ... nothing.

This was followed by an hour of sifting through pine needles and saw dust where I had been operating the chain saw. All to no avail. I eventually became very discouraged, used many perfectly appropriate words, and gave up. Later, I went to retrieve my work clothes from the washer ... and guess what I found! Life is good. And, yes, after some thought, I will continue to carry it.

That was the first ... "real" pocket knife I ever bought myself! Fond memories. I lost mine eventually but I still think it looks great and the "liner lock" was cool beans.

I have a few nice (to me knives) but tend to lose them, so when I do carry a knife it's a $5 to $10 special of some sort.

Mine get rotated each week. If your asking I have some that are 8 to ten years old or more. I have Sogs , Bucks, Gerbers, Case and others. Here in last 3 to four years I have been bitten very hard which there is no known Cure for The Case knife bug. Along with the C V blade vs Stainless bug. So I am into the classics big time . Bolth in slip joint and lock blade.

In 1970 I got a buck stockman pre-301 for eighth grade Christmas present. I still carry it, the clip blade is about 1/2 thickness.

The Kershaw for two years, the Leatherman Wave for work for 20 years.

I have had a folding knife in my pocket almost every day for about 60 years, but I tend to loose them at a rate of about one knife about every two years. Presently, I carry a small Syderco Ladybug with a yellow handle for visibility.

Kershaw Scallion for a long time. Maybe 15 years until last April and switched to a Benchmade automatic. have no idea what the model is, but I really like it.

Benchmade 470 since they came out but can't remember when that was. Buck 110 before that since they came out.

My Cold Steel Pocket Bushman is a solid stand by knife but I've switched yet again... Pictured are two of my CKRT's, oldest and newest.

The Apache lll Was my EDC for over 10 years and a favorite to this day. The Pilar is a solid knife. I think it will end up as a favorite as well.

24 years....in 1995 I went on a mountain bike trip with my aunt who is only 7 years older than me. She didn't have a knife during the trip and before she left for home I gave her my Victorinox Grand Prix that I had been carrying for probably 5 years.

I replaced it with a little larger Handyman. Have been carrying that one daily every since...

Wow. You actually carried a Pocket Bushman? What was that like?

Been carrying my Gladstone MSA Large Stockman since 2001. I keep the 3 polished Carbon Steel blades shaving sharp and it is always with me either in my pocket or now in the new leather sheath Wayne (Snubbyfan) made for it recently.
