I tried accessing a few sites I saw where these are mentioned-but lousy library computers are either too over-loaded area-wise-or just flat out junk. I cant seem to access info using the system computers.:mad::mad:

I guess these are currently being made? Anyway, wondering if anyone knows where to get them and for how much? these cost.

Korean Manufacturer KCI has come up with the ultimate high-capacity magazine for your 1911 style 45ACP. Heavy duty, polymer drum magazine is easy to load with integral spring tension releasing cam. Simply move the cam, drop in a round and repeat until magazine is full of 28 rounds of 45ACP ammunition. Works in 1911 style 45 ACP pistols.

This item is restricted in the following cities and/or states: CA, CT, HI, MD, MA, NY, CO, NJ; Illinois Counties: Cook, Aurora. Please check your State, County and City restrictions before ordering mag >10 rounds.

Looks fun to shoot, heavy to hold up, and impractical as hell.

I guess my first question would be, why? Please tell me it isn't for concealed carry! :D

Frankly, it looks like that would be a functional nightmare. With so many points at which it could fail, it looks like a jam-o-matic.

To that end, I'd suggest you might want to pose this question on the 1911 Forum, where you would have a broader audience specific to the 1911 platform, and maybe someone will have some actual experience with this...uh...thing. :p

Ill find a way to make it practical. :) Mainly, I just want something to go with my 1911-and it reminds me of WWI Artillery Lugers.

But I almost bought a 150 round snail drum magazine for a Mini - 14 I once was going to buy. But at a $300 price tag (back in 1988) I opted out of the chance.:D

Just think of how many Zombies you could massacre with it?;)

Looks like the only place these are made-are in Korea. Found the site which has the best price--thanks all. :-))

I had a 21 round 1911 Mag (single stack) that was around 14 inches long. I took it backpacking, and used it as a spare ammo box that happen to fit in the 1911. 8+1 in the gun, a second 8 rounder, and a reserve of 21 rounds= 38 Rounds.

The Marlin Camp 45 carbine, uses any 1911 mag!

I wouldn't bother with it. Wouldn't trust those things for anything other than occasional novelty at the range. KCI makes knock off mags for Glocks, AKs ARs, M1 Carbines and apparently 1911. Their Glock mags are better than ProMag but not by much. Their AK mags suck. The metal is thin and the welds are bad, but the newer version are slightly less suck.

I have no experience with their M1 or AR mags but I doubt they are any better
