kind of like the thread Muss started about the .32, this one kind of jumped off the used rack and fell at my feet as I walked into the LGS this afternoon. I hate it when I trip over a gun and then feel obligated to buy it. I haven't researched it yet to see when it was made but it was just so unusual, "I had to have it". enjoy. now, thanks to XFUZZ, it looks like an M-1 Carbine. lee

The Ruger made large mags are probably the best, but they can be made better. Check out Youtube as to how to make them right.

IIRC...they were done for Talo.
Lee...PM me your address.
I will get a 25 round mag to you.

I remembered the seller thru one in when I
bought this one over 2 years ago. Still NIB.

I got one of those brand new back in 2017. As I recall they were a Talo exclusive. Being a M-1 Carbine accumulator it seemed like a perfect addition to my menagerie. I originally planned to get the Chiapa .22 M-1 clone, but opted for the Ruger instead. 10/22 parts are easy to find, and the mags are cheaper and readily available. At this point I have well over a thousand rounds thru mine with no complaints.

I have the Marlin 989M2 that my dad bought new in 65 or 66 and I inherited in 1990. I need to take a picture of them together just to compare but I think the ruger looks more original. lee

If anyone’s interested E A Brown sell M1 style stocks for the 10/22. They have a web site but I don’t want to run afoul of the powers that be.

The company that used to make the conversion kits, also had a Thompson dress up option for the 10-22

I bought one of those and think it looks pretty cool

I think that is the ProMag drum that I have been using with the gun.

I never did build one of the M1 Carbine kits, but now that I know TALO had some done, I will keep on the lookout

For several years now, our shop had been doing 10-22 full auto conversions for ranges that rent guns. As one of our samples, we made a Krinkov style 10-22 that we called the Krinker-Plinker.

At last some inexpensive full auto

I have always found the older RamLine 50 round magazines to be exceptionally reliable with the 10-22 platform rifles.

Who make the Thompson kit? I'd love to have one for one of my 10-22's.
I purchased that kit through Brownells in 2010.

I tell you Brownells is so cool. They keep every order you ever placed accessible on their website.

It was part #100004509

I looked up the same part number, but it comes back not found

The manufacturer might still be in business with Brownells no longer carrying the item or they might be gone altogether

Sorry I do not have better news
