Trijicon Red Dot Sight
I was surfing on eb** and came across Trijicon RMR RM07 sights for sale for $79.97. Looking at Am@zon, according to the pictures shown on both sites, has the exact same sight, RM07 for sale for $620.75. It is listed as brand new, in the original packaging. For that price, I ordered one. It comes with the Glock sight base but I figure I can always get a different one. Just an FYI.

I’m thinking you got a cheap Chinese clone.

PLEASE - do a follow up. It's hard to believe you scored 90% off the normal price unless it came from China OR its already broken.

Well, it is possible that it is a knock-off but I will find out when it comes. Both eb*y and Pay** offer guarantees that if it is not what was advertised, you can return it for a full refund. Everything on the website says that it is a Trijicon RMR including the pictures, manufactured in the USA. My Dad always said that if is too good to be true, it always is. Just will have to wait and see. Fingers crossed in Ohio!

If it's too good to be true......well, you know the rest. Good luck with that purchase.

Do you realize that seller has 96.8% feedback score?
Did you see that the word 'Trijicon' is not used in the title or the description?
The sight you bought is a Chinese knock off. Might work for you and might not, but it's only worth 1/3 of the price they are asking, if that.

Actually, if you look at the item description box, it shows Brand as being Trijicon and manufacturing location as USA. I agree that it is about 99.9% that it is a Chinese knock-off but they do call it a Trijicon. If it isn't, than it should be fully refundable as not being as described. Again, fingers crossed.

Sad but true . Little honor left on Ebay.
Con men buy them here by the case and list them on flebay.

Am I the only one close to being driven insane by the needless elevator musak on the spot the fake video?

I looked on eBay and their Trijicon sights start off at $500+. The cheap sights as from the above post are from China, DHGate. And they're marked Trijicon and Made in the USA. I don't know about shipping from China is delayed now. Try suing a vendor in China and see where that goes. Copyright violation? Good luck with that.
Is it reasonable to believe someone is selling a new Trijicon sight for 10% of what it's worth? Not this old man.
I also saw a Trijicon on Ebay that had been delisted because of an error in listing. Maybe that's the one the OP bought?

For $80, I’d be thinking an Airsoft replica.

A guy came into my buddies LGS recently trying to sell some Leopold Scopes and a few other brands of red dot sights. Price was too cheap, so he started looking at the items and boxes real carefully and compared them to some he had in stock. It took a little while and careful looking, but they were all counterfeit. Everything was spelled correctly, but model numbers and some of the barcodes were off just enough to tell. Really good looking stuff and everything worked great and to be honest, the scopes were as clear as the real ones. Probably wouldn't hold up for any time.

Well, I am pretty sure that it will be a knockoff but I contacted the seller and he assured me that they are real and if there is any type of issue, it won't be an problem to return it. Of course, that and $5 will get you a coffee. we'll see.

Yes, I received it in and have carefully gone through it. It is a knockoff but it is very good knockoff. I went through it carefully and noted the items that were not quite right. For starters, the plastic case that it came in is marked Sotac, not Trijicon and there is no paperwork included in the case. As for the sight itself, the Trijicon should turn on when you press on the buttons on either side and it comes on in automatic mode. The clone will only come on when the (+) button is pushed, then gets brighter with each push. The Trijicon has 8 brightness levels and the clone only has five. With the Trijicon, if you press both buttons for 3 seconds, it will shut it down. The clone will only shut down with the (-), taking it down through each step. As pointed out in the video, the battery department is simpler and the adjustment screws are not perfectly centered. But it does have the Trijicon name on it along with the "Made in USA" and "Patent Pending". How the life would be of the light or the battery, I have no idea. I sent a note to the seller, explained what i saw and he quickly sent me a postage paid return label. It is a well made knockoff and after mounting it on a air pistol and trying it out in the basement, I am trying to decide if for the $80, I should keep it on the air pistol or return it. I have to admit that if I was purchasing a used pistol and this sight was mounted on it, I would believe that it was a real one if I had not gone through this.

Dang.! Glad that's over, I'm exhausted!
A friend of mine bought a fake Leupold Mark 4 years ago. He knew it was fake and bought it for a .223 bolt action rifle for varmint hunting and was happy with his purchase. His choice, not mine.

I recently bought a Trijicon RMR2 red dot sight from Opti-s Plan-t. I specifically bought it from that vendor because they were the low price I had faith I wouldn't get a fake. The first thing I did when it arrived was scrutinize absolutely everything and it passed muster. There are tons of rip-off artists seeking to relieve you of your money.
